Limitations of Indian Administrative Service?
I request you to kindly reveal the difficulties a usual IAS, IPS, IFS officer has to face. In the personal as well as professional lives. Please explain as much as you can.
Can they travel freely? Can they stay where they like? Can they get food they like?

I ‘ve had the ill luck to belong to one of these All India services for the last 3 decades. We IAS babus R always under microscope, & R made accountable for whatever bad happens in our jurisdiction, if there is no pol godfather.
The so called public representatives ( like MPs, MLAs, ZP chiefs) have taken away most of the sheen from these once coveted services. They hog credit for all the good things. They openly interfere in Govt work.
Upright Officers who refuse to tow their line are either transferred to punishment postings,& / or R involved in trumped up vigilance cases.
The Civil Service Conduct Rules R so severe that even a Saint can not fit within their austere scope.Only the corrupt officials, who enjoy the blessings of their Political masters, R immune to all such restrictions .
As a lecturer, I was far more happy, than now as a senior Commissioner .The Britishers had created a steel framework, which these foul congressies R tampering with & bringing it down gradually for their own selfish ends.
If U R thinking of joining one of these services, promptly eschew & bury the thought. U will perennially bless me .
